Data Center Construction Manager - Montreal, QC
We are looking for a Data Center Construction Project Manager to support critical facilities construction projects in Montreal and surrounding Quebec Province.The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing data center construction projects from the office, limiting that amount of onsite travel, which can be appealing for road warriors. The successful candidate will have to be exceptionally organized and be great with back office work (change orders, budgets, paperwork driven, etc)

Responsibilities:
Plan and organize data center construction projects offsite
Put together Project plans – size up, costs, budget, scheduling , timeline, manage change orders, etc
Maintain liaison with primary client, A/E team, and onsite vendors to facilitate construction activities.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client.
Represent the company in project meetings.
Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project.
Work autonomously in a newly established location.

Requirements:
Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects with a design / build firm.
Minimum of 5-10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry.
Fluent in both French and English
Client Facing /Client relationship / Client Management skills.
Must be familiar with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects.
Solid Project management experience.
Effective Communicator – emails, phone and face to face.
Ability to work independently.
Solid Admin skills
Computer savvy: MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD a plus
