PhD Studentship Progression from low wage work: opportunities, barriers and to what? De Montfort University -Department of Human Resource Management, Leicester Business School Starting October 2013

A PhD research studentship is offered within Leicester Business School working with an internationally recognised research team. The project will explore progression from low wage work, looking at barriers and opportunities and the factors which impact on organisations’ abilities to provide a route to upward job mobility. Despite being an area which is highly topical within current policy and academic debates, it is one where research remains limited. The studentship offers an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual who is interested in pursuing research in this emerging field.
For a more detailed description of the project please visit our web site or contact Mr. Jonathan Payne on +44 (0)116 527 7236 or email jpayne@dmu.ac.uk
This research opportunity builds on our excellent past achievements and looking forward to REF2014 and beyond. It will develop the university’s research capacity into new and evolving areas of study, enhancing DMU’s national and international research partnerships.
