Regional Manager - North America

Our client is a leading international engineering support services provider to both public and private sector industries across Europe and America.

Due to international expansion our client is now looking for an experienced Regional Manager in the East cost of the USA. The purpose of this role is to deliver a continuous improvement strategy that maximises their ability to reduce incremental costs whilst meeting the required level of asset availability and delivers first class service that creates effective and sustainable partnering relationships with customers and suppliers.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage health, safety, quality and environmental issues within the fleet management and supply chain arena, including ensuring that operational activity is executed safely and vehicles are supplied and maintained fit for purpose and safe for use.
• Promote safe working practices, the development/maintenance of a culture in which health and safety is everyone’s key priority, and work to eliminate accidents in accordance with the “Home Safe Every Day” philosophy.
• Co-ordination and delivery of all repair and maintenance activities to contractual Key Performance Indicators and deadlines in accordance with quality standards.
• Resource planning and scheduling, co-ordination and management to achieve contractual Key Performance Indicators.
• Drive productivity, efficiency and utilisation through workshop and supply chain activities.
• Drive the adherence and development of established maintenance processes in line with agreed service and quality parameters and ongoing development of the maintenance solution.
• Develop and deliver transition of the existing repair and maintenance practises to the provided service, at all times ensuring Key Performance Indicators are adhered to.
• Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship management process.
• Deliver continuous improvement in repair and maintenance performance and cost/value control within the workshop and supply chain.
• Contribute to and influence fleet management activity and strategy.

Person Specification

Experience:

• Significant senior fleet management experience in a large and diverse heavy mobile plant business, including implementing repair and maintenance activities.
• Experience of managing budgets.
• Experience of managing teams of maintenance and office based staff.
• Experience of managing supply chain and subcontractor management.

Skills/Knowledge/Competencies:

• Knowledge of heavy mobile plant and auxiliary equipment rules and legislation.
• Good technical knowledge of heavy mobile plant and auxiliary equipment.
• Good commercial knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification or professional experience.
