Organisation Description
Our client is a leading international engineering support services provider to both public and private sector industries across USA and Europe.
Due to international expansion our client is now looking for an SPV Operations Manager in Baltimore, who would be responsible for the North-America region.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Manage the overall SPV budget and deliver accurate forecasts and budgets in line with business unit expectations in relation to cost savings and profit.
• Establish and control operational procedures, and reporting for the SPV.
• Establish and manage day-to-day contract change control for the SPV.
• Production of monthly and annual operational reports for the SPV.
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers to elicit requirements for fleet sizing and the technical specification of replacement assets.
• Manage health, safety, quality and environmental issues for the SPV, including ensuring that operational activity is executed safely and vehicles are supplied and maintained fit for purpose and safe for use.
• Promote safe working practices, the development/maintenance of a culture in which health and safety is everyone’s key priority, and work to eliminate accidents in accordance with the “Home Safe Every Day” philosophy.
• Deliver continuous improvement in repair and maintenance performance and cost/value control.
• To establish and maintain relationships with customers, key suppliers and other stakeholders within the business and externally.
• Ensure value for money through the management of risk and cost by appropriate contracting and operational methodology, terms and conditions and procurement procedures.
• Ensure compliance with governance and quality accreditations as appropriate.
• Provide guidance and support to managers and staff on operational matters.
• Manage the integrity of data held on IT systems.
• Produce management reports as may be required.
Person Specification
Required experiences:
• Fleet management experience in a large and diverse heavy mobile plant business, including implementing repair and maintenance activities.
• Experience of account management and customer management.
• Experience of establishing and managing fleet operations.
• Experience of managing budgets.
• Experience of managing supply chain and subcontractor management.
• Experience of managing change and delivering continuous improvement.
• Experience of capital procurement, including assets and plant.
• Experience of working within quality accreditation standards.
• Experience of international procurement is desirable.
• Experience of negotiation skills.
• Experience of business development.
