21,500 fixed salary p.a. (plus £4,000 individual training budget). There is potential for the salary to be increased depending on the successful candidate’s skills and expertise. 
An opportunity exists for a self-motivated graduate to be employed as a KTP Associate by Leeds Metropolitan University.  The 2 year strategic project will lead to the implementation of a framework for the input management, analysis and delivery of building information data via bespoke applications.  
You will be based at the Space Group Headquarters in Newcastle working within their BIM technologies business.  
Space Group is a design and technology business working across the UK and internationally.  BIM technologies was the first independent BIM consultancy in the UK and now leads the way in developing technology processes and systems to add value to the construction process. 
The business uses proprietary industry software as well as developing its own applications to address specific issues.   The team also works on a consultancy basis putting the theory into practice. 
The KTP Associate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including the creation of a development infrastructure and operational processes, the design of new software and the development of server-side tools.  
You will need to possess an Honours degree (first or 2:1) in Computing or related subject, although post-graduate experience would also be beneficial.  The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of programming in an object oriented language and experience of web application development. 
You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.   You will also need to be enthusiastic, confident, self-motivated, and be able to meet deadlines.
