6 Research Fellow Positions in Signal Processing for the Networked Battle Space The Joint Research Institute in Signal and Image Processing (JRI-SIP), a collaborative research venture between the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University, is starting a new programme of research on signal processing within the networked battlespace funded by EPSRC/DSTL as part of the University Defence Research Collaboration (UDRC). The project aims to develop new technologies to tackle the challenges of persistent wide area surveillance.
We are currently seeking 6 Research Fellows for this project, each for a duration of 3 years, to work with a leading team of experts from the University of Edinburgh and Heriot-Watt University. The research encompasses aspects of: compressed sensing, sensor management, distributed signal processing, advanced detection localization and classification, anomaly detection and behaviour monitoring, and efficient computation and the mapping of algorithms to hardware.
This is a unique opportunity to work on a large scale collaborative project in partnership with industry and the UK defence sector.
Salary: £30,424 - £36,298 per annum
